Ridgmar Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Fort Worth, Texas. It opened in 1976 at 1888 Green Oaks Road and Interstate 30. The mall, owned by GK Development, Inc., includes five anchor stores: Dillard's, J.C. Penney, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, which has announced its closure, and Sears, as well as a 13-screen Rave Cinema. The mall originally featured a large winding spiral ramp in the main atrium but it has since been removed. The mall is recognized as a main shopping destination in West Fort Worth, also serving other rural cities. ==Downfall== Since its opening in 1976, Ridgmar has suffered losing many of its notable stores and restaurants over the years. For a long while, rumors that Ridgmar's Neiman Marcus location would be relocating soon into the future whirled around. These rumors were confirmed in late 2014, when Neiman Marcus themselves announced that they would be relocating to the Clear Fork development off of Hulen Street. ''"We have had a store in Fort Worth for over 50 years, giving us a deep history and many loyal customers in the market,"'' Neiman Marcus CEO Karen Katz said. ''"As we have for generations, we look forward to serving our loyal Fort Worth clients while attracting an entirely new customer."'' The Ridgmar Mall Neiman Marcus will close in the spring of 2017, when their lease is up. In addition to the announcement of NM's, other attractions and stores that have said goodbye to Ridgmar include: Chili's, El Fenix, Windsor, Charlotte Russe, Image, Aeropostale, Dairy Queen Julius, and countless others. Chili's, that is still connected to the food court, which shut down in 2010, still sits today as it did when it first closed. When Ridgmar was taken under new ownership in 2013, we received word that Ridgmar was supposedly to receive a renovation in the future, however we have yet to see any changes. ==Anchors== *Sears *J.
